Liverpool’s interest in Naby Keita has been one of the summer window’s recurring transfer sagas.

But the 25-cap Guinea international is rated at a staggering £70million and current employers Red Bull Leipzig appear exceptionally reluctant to sell the 22-year-old prodigy.

Accordingly, the Reds may be forced to consider cheaper and more obtainable alternatives if they want to sign a young and energetic midfield dynamo before the end of the summer.

To that end, Ivory Coast international Jean Michael Seri seems like a pretty obvious choice. Like Keita he’s hardworking with a physical presence but also offers something going forward, bagging seven goals and nine assists last season.

Transfermarkt value the 26-year-old at just £11.9million while his release clause is said to be £36million – a significantly cheaper sum than what would be required to sign Keita.

So, Liverpool fans, which midfielder do you think Klopp should go for? Let us know by voting below…
