Rangers have now reportedly launched an enquiry to sign two more players for Danny Rohl after Tuur Rommens and Tochi Chukwuani.
Rangers closing in on Rommens and Chukwuani
Rohl is set to be rewarded for an excellent start at Ibrox with his first two signings. According to recent reports, Rangers are closing in on a £7m double deal to welcome left-back Rommens and midfield star Chukwuani, who is awaiting a medical in Scotland to complete a move to the club.
It could be a busy month for the Gers, who reignited their title chances with a 3-1 victory over Celtic in the Old Firm derby earlier this month. They now sit just three points behind Scottish Premiership leaders Hearts, who have a game in hand.
Rommens and Chukwuani should help bridge that gap, but Rangers may not be done there in the transfer market. Speaking to reporters about a big month off the pitch, Rohl laid down a gauntlet to his forwards earlier this season.
The German said: “The message to the players, especially to the centre forwards, is that I’m looking for a number nine who is always the starter. That’s the challenge. Three players have tried to be the number nine, and the following weeks now will show who is the number nine.”
Raskin will love him: Rangers have "held talks" to sign "powerful" star
Glasgow Rangers have reportedly held talks over a deal to sign a midfielder who Nicolas Raskin would love.

It’s a message that Youssef Chermiti heard loud and clear, but one that Romaine Mundle may have been listening in on all the way from Wearside.
According to Sky Sports, Rangers have made contact to sign Dan Neil and Mundle from Sunderland after Rommens and Chukwuani – potentially pushing ahead a quadruple deal.
The duo have struggled for game time at Sunderland this season and could now get the chance to get back to their best form in Scotland as a result.
"Strong" Dan Neil would thrive alongside Raskin
Signing players from English football has worked out the best for Rangers in recent times, but Neil and Mundle could help to restore reputation on that front.
Mundle, although not a direct No.9, could get Rangers’ frontline firing from out wide. In one move, Rohl could finally unlock Chermiti’s most consistent form whilst adding another outlet out wide.
Neil, meanwhile, would thrive alongside Nicolas Raskin. The Sunderland midfielder would finally provide the Belgian a permanent license to break forward and crash the box like he did so well in previous campaigns.
The supposed Rangers target has been unlucky to miss out on a place at Sunderland this season, with Granit Xhaka quickly taking his spot, but has not been short on praise from Regis Le Bris.

The Black Cats boss said last season: “He’s very clever, very important to adjust the formation and balance the team.
“At the end, the individual output is maybe not as huge as expected but is very important for the team. Now that job is done he can add more things like more forward passes, tackling, counter pressing, and you can see how strong he is as an individual player.”
